After the assailants snatched his bag, they fired at a 30-year-old man who was trying to stop them from fleeing. The incident took place in Naiwala around 8.30pm when one Pradeep Arora was walking out of his shoe shop. Arora was carrying a bag containing some documents and cash. The two fake rolex assailants drove past him on a motorcycle and tried snatching his bag. ''The businessman raised and alarm. As the market is very congested, a crowd immediately gathered at the spot. The assailants fired two bullets, of which one brushed past a man who was trying to stop them. He has been identified as Ashwini alias John,'' said a police official. The police officer added that Ashwini was rushed to a hospital and his condition was said to be stable. Though the snatchers managed to escape, they dropped the countrymade pistol they were carrying replica rolex on the spot. The local police have registered a case in this regard and are trying to establish the identity of the criminals after talking to shoppers and traders who were in the market when the incident took place. The incident comes just days after another businessman was shot in Chandni Chowk. This had led to embroidered patches widespread protests from traders, who also downed shutters in the Walled City to voice their resentment alleging inaction on the part of the police.
